"OWLSTANDING" BEHAVIOR
"OWL" TRY MY BEST EVERYDAY TO LIVE LIKE JESUS DID.
EVEN THOUGH I MAKE MISTAKES...
IT'S OKAY. I'M HERE TO LEARN, FOR I AM STILL A KID!
I will be using a clip chart system in my classroom. Here is how the chart works. On the chart there are five colors. Each color represents a different type of behavior. At the beginning of the day, all of the students will begin on green, which means they are Ready to Learn. The choices each student makes throughout the day will guide where their name gets clipped. If a student makes good choices, they could stay on green or the teacher may clip them up to purple, which means Great Work, or pink, which means Outstanding. If a student doesn’t follow the rules, they will receive one verbal warning. If the student continues to have difficulty, the teacher will clip them down to yellow, which means Think About It, and the student will lose 5 minutes of recess. If the problem continues, the student will clip down to red, which means Slow Down, and they will lose 10 minutes of recess. A note will be sent home if your child is on yellow or red. At the end of the day, the students will color on their calendars, which will be in their homework folder, to let you know what color they were on for that day. If your child is on green, purple, or pink at the end of the day, he or she will receive a sticker. After 25 stickers on their chart they will receive a treat from the prize box.
